Allison Williams, Deborah Sloboda and Manish Verma are this year's recipients of the President's Awards for Excellence in Graduate Supervision.

From a current student to a 1982 graduate of the medical school to an activist who has guest lectured here, McMaster has been a part of the story for many of this year's winners.

Launched in 2016 by Lynton "Red" Wilson, Chair of the Wilson Foundation and Chancellor Emeritus of McMaster University, the award recognizes and nurtures leadership potential in undergraduate and graduate students at McMaster, which hosts the award.

The winners come from a range of Faculties and programs, and their proposed projects align with the Future of Canada Project 2022 research themes, the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, or both.

Three McMaster professors were also recognized by the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering.
