Over 35 of the 73 extraordinary nominees for this year's YWCA Hamilton Women of Distinction awards are McMaster students, graduates, faculty or staff.

The Order of Hamilton recognizes the individuals' exceptional voluntary contributions to create a better city, over and above their professional achievements.

The university has ranked 42nd in the world and fourth in Canada in the medical and health category of the 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings by subject. 

This is the university’s 11th consecutive year being named one of Hamilton-Niagara’s Top Employers.

Honorary Membership is the CTAA's highest honour, recognizing excellence in leadership, distinguished service and lasting impact in advancing the science, practice and sustainability of asphalt roads and pavement engineering.

Nine remarkable graduates and supporters of the university were recognized in the recent announcement of one of the country’s highest civilian honours 

iBioMed student Arish Shahab recently won the top award in the health care category at HackPrinceton, an annual “hackathon” where students build out innovative and impactful ideas.

Building on its track record of leading research across disciplines, McMaster was recognized among the Research Universities of the Year, placing third among those with medical schools.

The recognition for 'The Clichettes: Lips, Wigs, and Politics' is significant accomplishment for the museum's small but highly skilled team, and a testament to its role in connecting McMaster and the broader public.

The 2024 Robbins-Ollivier Award award recognizes and supports bold, status-quo challenging, institutional-level initiatives that address persistent systemic barriers in academia.

Weitz received the foundation’s Medal of Honour, and Daniel the Diversity and Equity in Research Award.  

The prestigious award recognizes students for their outstanding scholastic achievements at the graduate level.
