This month, the Student Wellness Centre (SWC) launched #StaySafeMac, a campaign to address vaccine hesitancies and encourage vaccination among those who are eligible. #StaySafeMac helps staff and students navigate concerns by sharing evidence-based information on the benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine. As part of the campaign, the SWC created a centralized web page to answer common vaccine-related questions, and to break down misinformation regarding vaccine safety and efficacy.

The SWC also recognizes that campus organizations, faculties and student groups are best placed to share the benefits of vaccination with McMaster staff and students. As such, the #StaySafeMac team has compiled a toolkit containing infographics, videos, tweets and captions that groups can share on their websites and social media pages.

Any questions or concerns about #StaySafeMac can be directed to Connor Blakeborough or Zeinab Khawaja.
