Parking update for fall 2021

Flexible parking pass options will be available to accommodate new or increasing levels of in-person activities on campus this Fall.

By Megan Bieksa, Facility Services July 5, 2021

McMaster’s Parking Services team is excited to welcome more students, staff and faculty members to campus in the Fall. In anticipation, flexible parking pass options to accommodate new or increasing levels of in-person activities on campus will be available this Fall.

Parking passes for the Fall will go on sale online July 15th, 2021 for all staff and any students who have previously held a Lot M parking pass. Students who did not previously hold a parking pass can apply for parking on August 1st. Staff who did not previously hold a parking pass can apply for parking in the Ward Avenue Lot on July 15th. Parking pass fees will be reinstated for the Fall 2021.

A new part-time parking pass option will be offered for staff, faculty members and students. A part-time parking pass will provide ten visits per month, at a reduced rate.

Staff or faculty members who had parking passes before the pandemic will be offered the option to renew their parking pass, choose a part-time pass or choose to place their parking on hold. For the winter of 2022, these options will be reassessed and communicated.

Students can apply for full or part-time parking passes for Lot M in the West Campus. Shuttle buses will be running.

Interzone parking access will be modified in the Fall term to allow more flexibility.
