McMaster University is mourning the passing of Adrian Winter, a third-year student in the Faculty of Engineering.

Winter was a varsity wrestler for the McMaster Marauders in 2023-24 and 2024-25, and a member of the 2024-25 McMaster Engineering EcoCAR EV Challenge team.

The university extends its sincere condolences to Winter’s family, friends and all those affected by this loss.

“Our thoughts are with Adrian’s family, friends, and classmates,” said Sean Van Koughnett, Associate Vice-President, Students.

“This is a heartbreaking loss, and we encourage anyone in our community who is struggling to reach out for support.”
