All McMaster COVID-19 testing centres will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend (October 9 to 11, 2021).

Both asymptomatic and symptomatic testing will be unavailable during this time.

As a result of the asymptomatic centre closures, the maximum allowable interval between tests for staff, students and faculty members will be extended over the long weekend from 72 to 96 hours. This will permit those who are tested on Friday, October 8 to attend campus on Tuesday, October 12 for testing.

  • On Tuesday, October 12, the McMaster University Student Centre (MUSC) Asymptomatic COVID-19 Testing Centre will have extended hours from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. to manage expected increased testing demands.
  • The testing location at the Ron Joyce Centre will also have additional hours on Tuesday, October 12, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Opening hours at the David Braley COVID-19 Asymptomatic Testing Centre location will remain as previously scheduled.

These testing locations are only for those with a MacID, who do not have symptoms and are seeking a rapid test as required for clearance to access a McMaster location. Please check the Back to Mac website for more information on McMaster’s Asymptomatic COVID-19 Testing Centres.

Information on the Student Symptomatic COVID-19 testing centre can be found here.
