McMaster University has placed 17th in the world in The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, which recognizes the important contributions universities make to their communities, countries and on an international scale.

When Katarina Poletto started Dolled Up Desserts three years ago, her goal for the gluten-free and vegan bakery was to create an inclusive environment for people with food intolerances. The business remains as committed to inclusion as ever.

Kate Drummond was 35, with a decade of teaching under her belt, when she decided to take a year off to explore her dream of acting. This week she was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for best lead performance in the TV movie, Nowhere to be Found.

On Feb. 8, approximately 230 students at STEM Hacks will take on a series of engineering and science challenges. The competition will be hosted by Mathstronauts, a Hamilton-based non-profit that offers ways for kids to get engaged in STEM subjects.

Kenneth Hall '55 and '60, Robin McKee '80, Anne Pearson '84 and '93 have been recognized with the inaugural Order of Hamilton awards, announced during Mayor Fred Eisenberger's New Year's Levee on January 5.
