In-person convocation planned for Spring 2022

Updates on spring 2022 convocation ceremonies as well as celebration events for students from the classes of 2020 and 2021.

Planning is underway for in-person convocation ceremonies as well as celebrations for students from the classes of 2020 and 2021, whose convocations were held virtually.

Planning is underway for McMaster’s first fully in-person spring convocation in two years, including celebrations for students from the classes of 2020 and 2021, whose convocations were held virtually because of COVID-19 restrictions.

Class of 2022

In-person convocation events will take place at First Ontario Concert Hall in Hamilton. More details available here.

Classes of 2020 and 2021

In addition to the official convocation ceremonies that took place online, in-person events will be held to celebrate the accomplishments of McMaster students who graduated in 2020 or 2021.

Registration for these celebrations are open until May 8. Details about registration, tickets and more, can be found on the Office of the Registrar’s website.

The university and Service Employees’ International Union (SEIU), Local 2, representing Machinists, have reached a tentative agreement.

McMaster and Unifor Local 5555 Unit 5, representing Operations and Maintenance staff at the university, have reached a tentative collective agreement.
