Join the Department of Family Medicine for the 2026 Carl Moore Lecture, a learning event that brings together faculty, staff, learners, and healthcare professionals to explore the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on lifelong health and the important role of primary care in recognizing and responding to childhood trauma.
This year’s featured speaker, Andrea Gonzalez, along with research team members Amber Rieder and Divya Joshi, will present a keynote lecture examining the links between childhood adversity, toxic stress, health outcomes, and health care engagement across the lifespan. Participants will gain evidence-informed insights into how early experiences become biologically embedded and contribute to physical, mental, and social health challenges encountered in clinical practice.
