McMaster students, staff, faculty and community members are invited to gather at campus events to reflect, commit to taking a stand against gender-based violence, and honour victims and survivors, past and present.

Each year, the McMaster community is invited to gather and honour the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

On Dec. 6, 1989, 14 women, many of whom were studying to be engineers, were murdered in a violent act of misogyny at École Polytechnique in Montreal.

This year marks the 36th anniversary of the attack. Together, the McMaster community will reflect, commit to taking a stand against gender-based violence and honour victims and survivors, past and present.
