Federal government investing $12M towards Biomedical Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing centre

The McMaster Fraunhofer Project Centre for Biomedical Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing (BEAM) research facility will be home to several of McMaster's leading researchers.

Sagal examines a white orchid in the McMaster Biology Greenhouse, a flower specimen that is prominently featured in a number of rare 18th century botanical textbooks written by early female botanists. For the past month, Sagal has been examining these textbooks, which are housed in McMaster University Library's William Ready Division of Archives and Research Collections.
