That’s why at McMaster, there are supports in place to help students with their physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.

Here are twelve resources that students can take advantage of:

The Student Wellness Centre (SWC) provides a range of counselling options, medical services and wellness programs to McMaster students. Find the SWC in rooms 210/201 in the Peter George Centre for Living and Learning (PGCLL) and follow them on Instagram.

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) provides academic accommodations and related supports for students with disabilities at McMaster. From note-taking services to assistive technology, the SAS Team can help students get the most out of their university experiences.

The Student Success Centre (SSC) supports the academic, personal and professional growth of McMaster students. Areas of support include International Student Experience, Writing and Academic Skills, Spiritual Care and Learning, Leadership Development, Financial Wellness, Experiential Learning, Career Counselling and Job Search and Global Experiences. From aquatics to Zumba, the Department of Athletics and Recreation provides a range of activities to get you moving. Visit their website to explore the many fitness classes, recreational activities and facilities available to Marauders.

Indigenous Student Services (ISS) provides a culturally safe space for Indigenous learners to develop community and access support. The McMaster Okanagan Office of Health & Well-being offer a range of supports for McMaster community members like the Period Equity Pilot Project, the Bring Your Own Bottle initiative and Campus Food Charter. Okanagan is also launching a new student volunteer program this fall.

The Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO) is committed to providing inclusive and trauma?informed response and support to all members of the McMaster community. Explore their support options, training and workshops, events or visit them in University Hall.
